Team PTCSpeedsters had a blast running/walking a 5K route that took us to landmarks in Chinatown while helping to raise funds to support our community. They explored history connected to our school and our heritage.

One stop along the 5K route was PTCS, of course! The school is one of the most recognizable structures along Wentworth Avenue. While the building itself is significant, what happens inside the walls carries even more value. An absolute highlight of the evening was hearing 3 students stand outside the school and share why PTCS is important and what the school means to them.

In the last block, before they reached the finish line at Ping Tom Park, one excited student grabbed Principal Bonnie’s hand and walked the last steps of the race. We gathered at the park to take our final photo of the evening, with bright and big smiles! Well done, team!

In partnership with 7 other local nonprofits, PTCS participated in the “We Run Chinatown Virtual 5K” to benefit our community. Not only did they fundraise together, but they also strengthened ties with neighbors, and found that together we can achieve more.
